Rich directed the critically acclaimed finalé of the second season of BBC Two and Netflix's popular historical drama The Last Kingdom. Adapted by Stephen Butchard from the novels by Bernard Cornwell, the story follows valiant warrior Uhtred, born a Saxon but raised as a Dane, who is torn between his nature and his nurture while helping King Alfred unite the feuding Kingdoms of ninth century England against the threat of Viking invaders. Produced by Carnival, filming took place around Budapest during autumn 2016.
